Créé en 1966 par le CNRS, le Centre de recherches sur les macromolécules végétales (Cermav, Unité Propre de Recherche 5301) est un laboratoire de recherche fondamentale sur les glycosciences.
L'approche pluridisciplinaire, couvrant les spécialités chimie, physicochimie et biologie, lui permet d'occuper aujourd'hui une place importante, au niveau international, dans les domaines de recherche phares des carbohydrates (sucres, oligo- et polysaccharides, glycopolymères et glycomatériaux), leur synthèse, caractérisation, fonctions et applications dans divers domaines.

The Research Center for Plant Macromolecules (Cermav - UPR5301) was created in 1966 by CNRS. Our research institute is focused on glycosciences.
Through a multidisciplinary-approach from chemistry and physicochemistry to biology specialties, we occupy a leading position, at the international level, in the key research areas of carbohydrates (sugars, oligo- and polysaccharides, glycopolymers and glycomaterials), their synthesis, characterization, functions and applications in various fields.
