CGSTA is a national global surgery organization in Canada, affiliated with the International Student Surgical Network. After the release of the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery in 2015, there has been an increased awareness in this field. With a large number of trainees interested in and participating in global surgery experiences, we hope to develop stronger networks for collaboration, education and advocacy across Canada.
