Changemakers Hub & Capital is an edtech and development fund that trains and funds changemakers to solve Africa's social problems, in line with the SDGs.
Africa has numerous socioeconomic problems however Africa also has a burgeoning youth population most under-/un-employed.
So we thought, what if we used Africa's youth bulge to fix her problems.
And that is how the Changemakers Hub was born, we turn random African youths into Changemakers, we equip them with the passion to fix Africa, the training, the skills and technical know-how. So far, we have trained 2,000 changemakers across 10 countries.
Then we discovered the problem of funding. Young Africans have ideas that could improve the lives of the African people, but they lack access to funding. So we thought what if we could create a fund, by Africans and for Africans? And that is how the Changemakers Capital was born. A non-profit development fund that supports very early stage African social innovators to build, test and implement their solutions.
