Chapter 5 aims to alleviate the period of mental anguish by providing education, information and support on the many development periods that we feel are essential to having a successful transition. Areas of focus will be, but not limited to, facilitating self-assessment, the possession of knowledge and understanding of financial matters, master how to build and maintain essential working relationships (networking), continuing education/degree achievement services, capitalizing on your personal brand, resource network of business and athletic mentors, and a reference center filled with literature, worksheets (time management, resume building etc.), full health evaluation, what happens in retirement with respect to insurance/medical, and curating research for the purpose of helping an athlete find meaning post career, as well as helping them build their legacy.
