Growing up, we witnessed how everything was crafted by hand with love and treated with care. We strongly believe that handmade objects possess a special energy. The process of crafting by hand involves a deeper connection with the object, and the love, care, intention, and identity of the artisan are transferred to the product, making it unique. We celebrate shapes, textures, colors, and materials that will remain in our lives forever. The word 'charco' comes from the Spanish phrase 'cruzar el charco,' which literally translates to 'crossing the puddle.’ It refers to someone traveling a long distance, typically by crossing the ocean. It conveys the idea of undertaking a substantial journey, which, in our case, coming from Latin America, meant a journey filled with change, challenges, and fear, but above all, with courage, effort, hope and happiness. Charco Studio is a journey that embraces unique design, craft, and heritage.
