Planted on the clay-limestone hillsides of Saint-Hippolyte at around 100 meters above sea level, Château de Ferrand, Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Emilion, is one of the highest vineyards in the appellation. The vineyards cover 32 hectares, surrounded by ten hectares of woodland and meadows. Ferrand’s terroirs produce structured, complex and elegant wines, staying true to the wines of its appellation.
Developing greater roundness and precision whilst retaining elegance and freshness, the new Ferrand team is bringing a new style that is revealing the vineyard’s potential. Château de Ferrand is now hailed as one of Saint-Emilion’s most promising wines.
