The Biomarkers4TB research group, headed by Prof. Novel N Chegou, conducts research that focuses on identifying and validating host immune biomarkers for easier and more accurate diagnosis of TB. The group conducts research in adults and children and in both the pulmonary and extrapulmonary forms of TB.
The ultimate goal is to identify biomarkers that may be used in the development of biomarker-based tests for Point-Of-Care diagnosis of TB that can be easily implemented in resource-limited environments.
