The Chemicals and Waste Youth Platform is the world’s largest network of youth organizations and individuals engaged in policy development and action for a future free from hazardous chemicals, waste and pollution. We serve as the formal, self-organized youth engagement mechanism to United Nations processes on pollution, including the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions; Minamata Convention on Mercury; Global Framework on Chemicals and other cross-cutting avenues. Our aim is to elevate the priorities of children, youth and other vulnerable populations who have been the most harmed by toxic exposures but the least heard in the negotiation room, and to advance the right of all generations to live in a non-toxic, chemical-safe world.
