Cherub will sell first-of-its-kind Child Disability Supplemental Income (CDSI) insurance. This is a new insurance product that pays parents/guardians of special needs children supplemental income to help mitigate the additional expenses of caring for these children.
Cherub will offer group plan child disability supplemental income insurance policies to employers. Employers will offer this coverage to their employees as a way to help attract and retain talent. If any covered employee of the company births or adopts a child during the coverage period, that child will be covered under the plan. If any covered child should develop one of the disabilities listed in the policy, Cherub will provide supplemental income to the parents/guardians of the child, for as long as the child has that disability, up to the age of 18.
