Chicago Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide assistance and support through established programs in local communities. Founded in 1913, "DST" has more than 900 chapters and 200,000 members -- predominantly Black, college-educated women -- globally. The sorority's Chicago Alumnae Chapter was founded in 1959 and has established an award-winning history of public service and scholarship support for Chicagoland youth. With more than 700 members, we are one of the largest chapters in the Mighty Midwest Region. More important than the size of our membership, it's the power of our sisterhood and the service in our heart that have earned our chapter recognition, respect and collaborative partners. Spanning professions, ages and passions, #ChicagoDeltas are active everywhere, endeavoring to continue the chapter's legacy of impactful public service programming across Chicago and suburban Evergreen Park and Oak Lawn. Our work is led by Chapter President Shaunessye D. Curry.
