Chilin (HK) Ltd. is a Hong Kong based company that supports professional Chinese-to-English and English-to-Chinese technical document translators. Chilin has developed and markets the PatentLex Translation Aassistant based on its deep corpus of high-quality bilingual Multi-word Expressions (MWE). PatentLex (http://patentlex.chilin.hk/#/) is a web-based translation tool based on over one million and expanding terms. Chilin has also developed a machine translation engine based on its collection of over 30 million rigorously aligned bilingual Chinese-English sentence pairs from 300,000+ Chinese-English patents. Chilin was founded in 2005 by a highly respected group of experts in the field of computational linguistics. Chilin is a spin-off from the CityU Enterprise of the City University of Hong Kong, to take on knowledge transfer of research results from its Language Information Sciences Research Center. PatentLex is based on over twenty years of research and development.
