The International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation (CIC) is a globally recognized, politically independent advisory body dedicated to the conservation of wildlife through sustainable use. Founded in 1930, the CIC is the world’s oldest environmental organization, with a longstanding commitment to safeguarding wildlife resources across the globe.
Our diverse membership includes over 1,800 individuals and organizations, comprising leading wildlife experts, opinion leaders, NGOs, academic institutions, and both public and private associations. We are also proud to represent 29 State Members through their respective government bodies and to work closely with over 90 NGOs worldwide. With a presence in more than 80 countries, the CIC plays a pivotal role in shaping international conservation policies and practices, ensuring that wildlife management is both ethical and sustainable.
