Fruto de uma joint venture formada pelo Governo do Estado do Ceará, no Brasil, e pelo Porto de Roterdã – o maior e principal porto da Europa -, o Complexo do Pecém promove desenvolvimento industrial, econômico e social para o Ceará e para o Nordeste do Brasil. O Complexo do Pecém é composto por três grandes frentes: Área Industrial, que possui algumas das principais unidades fabris do Nordeste brasileiro; Porto do Pecém, um terminal offshore de classe mundial; e ZPE Ceará, a primeira Zona de Processamento de Exportações a entrar em operação no Brasil, com uma área de expansão de 1.900 hectares para a instalação de novos investimentos.
The result of a joint venture formed by the Government of the State of Ceará, in Brazil, and the Port of Rotterdam - the largest and main port in Europe -, the Pecém Complex promotes industrial, economic, and social development for Ceará and the Northeast of Brazil. With more than nineteen thousand hectares of area, it has robust infrastructure, a privileged geographic location and is also emerging as the home of Green Hydrogen (H2V) in Brazil, as it houses the first projects in the sector in the country.
