Cir4Fun: Revolutionizing the furniture Industry through Circular Economy Principles
With a consortium of 22 partners from 10 European countries, Cir4Fun is a project funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe program (HORIZON-CL6-2024-CircBio-01-3) that intends to drive circular economy within the furniture industry.
To do so, the project will follow the EcoDesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and prepare the future delegated act for establishing a Digital Product Passport (DPP) in the furniture domain. This aim will be supported by the development of AI-based EcoDesign approaches and an Eco-scoring System to promote sustainability and circularity.
Cir4Fun main goals are:
Driving circular economy in furniture industry
Enhancing sustainability and eco-labeling
Developing a Furniture Assessment System (FAS) and Digital Product Passport (DPP)
Creating circular business models and eco-design guidelines
Validating results through European use cases
Promoting sustainable practices and support new regulations
