Claudette's

Claudette's is a Moroccan-Israeli restaurant first established here in Rockaway Beach. We embody 4 core tenets in our restaurants and in our cooking, all inspired by the love and generosity that our mother, Claudette, brought to the Shabbat table every week. Everybody Eats represents our commitment to inclusivity. Everybody was always welcome at our house growing up, and nobody ever left hungry. Family Away From Family is an ode to the warmth and hospitality we try to inspire in all of our interactions. A lifetime of nourishing each other has taught us that we are all cut from the same cloth, and growing up, anyone who sat down to have a meal with us was part of the family. Breaking Bread is our reference to the cross cultural moment of peace, camaraderie, and comfort when we share a meal together. Every Friday night we start our dinner with a blessing over a glass of wine, the fruits of the earth, and the breaking of bread. Zest for Life is what our mother always reminds us. Don't ever forget to enjoy what you're doing. We often squeeze lemons and discard the rind, but when we take a moment to grate the rind, we add another dimension to the food that we eat and the lives that we live. Don't let the little things go to waste and savor every moment.
