Clear Sky was established in 2010, to meet the needs of children who are struggling emotionally due to circumstances out of their control. The passion for Clear Sky comes from our CEO's own experience as a teenager, when Sophia's mother sadly passed away. As an adult, Sophia came across Play Therapy - a form of psychological support for children that allows them to use play and creative mediums to explore confusing or difficult feelings. Many children struggle to verbalise their worries and Play Therapy offers the opportunity to work through problems using the child's own natural language - play.
We are now working with over 60 children per week in schools, supporting parents through our Playful Parents Programme plus training school staff in using a therapeutic approach with children. We also work closely with Debi Maskell-Graham, author of "Reflective Functioning and Play: strengthening attachment relationships in families from pregnancy to adolescence", to deliver popular and CPD accredited professional courses to include 'Parent Child Attachment Play' and 'Baby Bonding'.
