In 2018 Funmi Lawal identified a need. Funmi observed the difficulties people with limited mobility experienced when dressing, she knew she could create a solution to make their lives easier. With determination and a drive to help, research began.
Initial Concept
Funmi’s concept was underwear that can be worn without the need to bend down. With human factors and ergonomics informing every stage of the process, Funmi collaborated with the best design team for the task. The focus was to produce practical yet stylish underwear for men and women that negated the need to bend or stretch when dressing.
Concept Development
Funmi and the design team worked on Clip Knix™ and developed female underwear that can be fastened at the front without the need for bending. Funmi and the team have answered this need through pragmatic approach, robust testing and meticulous design. The result is a triumph which will revolutionise the lives of many people.
Result
An adaptive front fastening underwear for women, that negates the need to bend or stretch. It can be worn sitting, standing or lying down.
