Cornell, Maryland, Max Planck Pre-doctoral Research School in Computer Science (CMMRS)

Each summer since 2017, CMMRS has brought together a talented and diverse group of pre-doctoral students in computer and information science from around the world with faculty from Cornell University, The University of Maryland, and Max Planck Institutes for a week-long school. Student attendees are exposed to state-of-the-art research in computer and information science, have to opportunity to network with like-minded students from around the world, get to interact closely with leading faculty from three of the foremost academic institutions in the US and in Europe, and get a sense of what it is like to pursue an academic or industrial research career in computer and information science. The overall goal is to ensure attendees can make a more informed decision about their future career.
