Grounded in the Ubuntu philosophy -“I am because we are” we embed ethics, community, and social equity at the heart of AI governance and innovation. Our mission is to ensure that Africa does not merely consume AI technologies built elsewhere, but rather actively develop systems that serve local needs, protect human dignity, and promote sustainable development. Through cutting-edge research and publications, trainings/education, policy advocacy, and community-driven innovation, we bridge the ethical gap between innovation and implementation. We partner with governments, industry, academia, and civil society to promote responsible AI that advances public good, economic empowerment, and data justice.
