The establishment of Colan is a response to the need expressed by district, municipal and metropolitan assemblies to meet their aspirations regarding project preparation and development and, ancillary technical support services in the area of water supply and environmental sanitation, and municipal engineering.
Colan Consult started from humble beginnings in 1989 as Temperance Environmental Services providing turnkey services in waste management to institutions and individual premises in urban and peri-urban communities in Accra, Koforidua and Kumasi. It became fully incorporated as a consultancy firm in 1994, specialising in the areas of community water supply, environmental sanitation and municipal engineering with special emphasis on municipal and industrial waste management and disposal.
