Comfort Centre for Child Advocacy, Response and Empowerment, is a Nigerian based non-governmental, not for profit, human rights, peace and development Organization committed to the relief of poverty and the pursuit of well-being for vulnerable groups especially the women and children. It was established in the year 2019 and has a CAC registration of CAC/IT/NO 134134
Our drive to ensure the empowerment and wellbeing of women and children, exposed us to the growing scourge of Gender Based Violence issues amomg women in Nigeria, this has given rise to several programs which we have carefully put together to address this troubling menace. our programs tagged KIDS AWARE, KIDS SAFE PROJECT, FEET OF PEACE PROJECT, MENTOR A KID, and WOMEN EMPOWERMENT SEMINARS which we have held in partnership with other well meaning organisations.
As part of our awareness campaign, we have distributed the books: MY BODY SAFET GUIDE FOR KIDS and MY BODY SAFETY GUIDE FOR TEENS for free every childrens Day (May 27) for two years running.
Our impacts have been far reaching , as we have seen over 2000 primary and secondary school learners, sensitised on Gender Based violence.
Currently, we have sensitised over 1000 parents and school administrators/staff on Gender Based Violence and proper reporting for the safety of school children.
