Comfort Talk®

Comfort Talk® is an innovative, research based, drug-free method for front line providers to reduce patient pain and anxiety from the waiting room to the exam table. Healthcare professionals are trained in rapid rapport and “word choice” techniques that are complemented with hypnotic language. It is a no nonsense, straightforward approach to patient relaxation or sedation without the use of medication. Our training teaches practitioners how to start the patient engagement out on the fight foot. Not only does this reduce stress in the patient but in the practitioner as well. This leads to better outcomes for the patient and a happier and more efficient work environment. Comfort Talk® techniques were developed by Interventional Radiologist, Dr. Elvira Lang, over 25 years of rigorous research in clinical practice and experience in training healthcare professionals. These methods were tested in over 130,000 patient encounters. We are continuously refining and improving our methods and materials through feedback and clinical trials.
