About Common Heritage Foundation

Common Heritage Foundation (CHF) is a not-for-profit non- government organization registered in Nigeria (RC 12361) in 1997 for the purpose of applying knowledge to increasing community access to services. In 1998, Common Heritage Foundation was appointed a corporate member of The Royal Institute of Public Health and Hygiene. Our Vision We see a world where knowledge is universal, tangible and livelihood skills are to the benefit of the all members of the community. Our Mission To enhance service performance through increasing access of communities to basic services in health, food and knowledge. What we do CHF work is focused on empowering communities to access services in health, food and education by: - providing information on opportunities that are available outside the community, - enhancing communities ability and capacity to organize and effectively access services, developing evidence-based, sustainable community participation strategy - midwifing partnership between donor and governance systems with community institutions on equal terms and - strengthening community's ability to meet its responsibility and take eventual ownership of the service delivery process with minimum dependence on extra-community source.
