Development Trust Initiative (DTI)

Development Trust Initiative (DTI) was registered by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in January 2017 under Part C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) as a corporate body. It is independent, non-profit making and non-governmental membership organization with focus on promoting human and sustainable development. Vision: To be a leading and reputable voice for the promotion of sustainable human development Mission: Actively promoting collective understanding and action among state and non-state actors towards achieving sustainable human development in Africa Main objectives: -To promote dialogue, discourse and advocacy on key developmental issues in Nigeria. -To promote, implement and monitor positive and strategic actions and interventions for human and sustainable development. -To advocate for relevant policy reforms and implement relevant projects toward achieving sustainable economic, social, political and human development. -To enhance the capacity of all persons for positive and active participation and contribution to human and sustainable development. -To address the issues of inequality and discrimination which impact on the ability and opportunities of women, persons with disability and other disadvantaged groups to enjoy sustainable human development. -To promote research and documentation on key developmental challenges and issues, strategies for addressing them and impacts of developmental interventions. -To initiate actions, programmes and activities towards addressing critical challenges of sustainable development in Nigeria. Strategies: Research, public private dialogue, advocacy, policy dialogue, capacity development. Organizational structure: DTI has a board of trustees made up of highly distinguished individuals and a motivated and highly competent project management and implementation team of individuals with varying background and skills. The team is led by an Executive Director.
