About Communicare CMA
Communicare is a 66-year-old charity, and we run 15 Friendship Centres in Auckland south of the Bridge. We exist for the very real and stark reason that isolation and loneliness make many of our seniors vulnerable – and this is not an isolated or diminishing issue – rather quite the opposite sadly as it is a growing trend. Communicare is about the power of connection, through offering welcoming spaces to those 65+ seniors who can come together – to share companionship, to share activities and foster their sense of belonging.
