The CDC is a nonprofit organization founded to support and empower community and economic development professionals through educational programming, professional certification, and developing collaborative networks. The CDC provides direction and curriculum to a national network of Community Development Institute (CDI) sites. Upon completion of CDI training, leaders have a pathway to become a certified Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED). The CDC serves as the accrediting body for the PCED certification.
