Community Outreach Programme (CORP)

Founded in 1977, CORP has grown from a single community center into a network of 20 centers working across multiple city slums. Our goal is to empower at-risk children, women and teens, by sharing the education, tools and training they need to improve their own lives. Our vision: CORP envisions a society where all women and children are dignified and empowered, with their basic rights respected. Our mission: CORP's mission is to educate, nurture and guide vulnerable children, to empower disadvantaged women and to raise the standard of living for Mumbai's slum communities. Objectives: - To encourage all sections of society, irrespective of caste, religion or economic status, to cooperate on long-term development. -To empower, train and support local people to take responsibility within their own communities. -To create an awareness of self-worth and provide facilities for improving the lives of the slum residents.
