We are Compass (Creating Openness and Mental health Promotion Amongst Scholars in Switzerland), a non-profit association committed to promote mental health and inclusivity in Swiss academia.
At Compass, we are on a mission to illuminate the path towards mental health awareness and support among scholars. Our purpose is to enhance mental health understanding, and offer a guiding light through resources and professional aid. But we don't stop there; we're also committed to broadening the conversation around neurodiversity and personality traits, nurturing an environment where everyone feels included.
Through a series of events, talks, and outreach initiatives, our goal is to amplify the message of mental wellness and neurodiversity to every PhD student, postdoc, staff member, and group leader within Swiss universities, applied universities, and research institutes.
Compass was sparked in August 2023 by a group of individuals from the Biozentrum, University of Basel, and now includes members from many department of University of Basel. We hope to gather soon enthusiast volunteers from the rest of the country. We hope to soon gather enthusiastic volunteers from the rest of the country.
