R. Tom Compton is an architect, innovator and entrepreneur: Architecture: He founded his architectural practice, Compton Associates, Development/Design, in 1990. His professional practice has provided solutions for many clients with diverse project goals. The results are self evident and have proved sustainable for both his clients and his practice. The practical knowledge of his industry has been gained through hands on experience from designer to contractor as well as implementing the entire process through Compton Design/Build Inc. His career background includes experience as corporate architect for a land development company working as site concept developer, architect and project/construction supervisor on entire golf course and multi-phased, large tract, communities. He has experience in land planning, hotel site evaluation studies & construction administration, community negotiations, shopping centers and all types and scales of high and low density residential design projects. His private practice and background experience in a large architectural/engineering firm yields a broad portfolio.
