Compton Foundation

In 2025, the Compton Foundation will have spent its entire endowment — on purpose — and officially closed the organization. For 79 years, Compton Foundation advanced peace, justice and a healthy environment. In our final era, we worked to build political and cultural power across the movements for peace, climate solutions, reproductive justice, a healthy democracy, and relationship-based repair, holding gender and racial justice at the heart of each. Compton Foundation may be history but our people and our partners are still shaping the future. As we transition from active grantmaking to a historical archive, we hope this page serves as both a record and an inspiration.
