Controlo Cargo Services Ltd has been delivering trusted freight forwarding since 1977, starting out as a deep sea shipping specialist handling containerised and break-bulk cargo. In 1991, we joined the Star Cargo plc group, expanding our capabilities to include dedicated road trailer operations across Europe, covering both full and part loads, as well as groupage services. By 1995, our relocation near Birmingham International Airport enabled the launch of a full-service airfreight division, offering daily global departures for time-sensitive shipments. In 2010, we further expanded our reach with the creation of a Middle East division, combining ship chartering for bulk freight with comprehensive LCL and FCL sea freight, and air services across the region. Today, Controlo stands as one of the largest independent freight forwarders in the Midlands, providing fully integrated, multimodal logistics solutions to exporters and importers nationwide.
