Copernicus LAC Chile

The Copernicus Regional Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean (Copernicus LAC Chile) is a project dedicated to the storage, processing and distribution of satellite data from Copernicus, the Earth Observation component of the European Union's Space Programme, in the Latin American and Caribbean region. Our project will provide services of regional interest, which have an added value as they are generated from and for Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing on the areas of: - Land use and land cover. - Urban Atlas. - Monitoring of oceans and coasts. The Copernicus LAC Chile project is implemented by the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM) of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Chile, funded by the European Union through the Directorate General for International Partnerships (DG INTPA) together with the University of Chile, in the framework of the European Union-Latin America and the Caribbean Digital Alliance.
