Cornerstone Economic Research specialises in researching public finance and policy implementation challenges and proposing practical solutions, especially in relation to issues relevant to children. We combine innovative thinking, common sense and quality research, supported by wide practical experience and excellent writing and presentation skills. Through research and training we aim to empower those responsible for making strategic decisions to develop and implement sustainable policies and programmes to overcome the challenges of social and economic exclusion and inequality. The range of projects highlights that Cornerstone: •Has extensive experience with Budgeting issues and Public Finance Management Systems, with two of the proposed team having worked for the Ministry of Finance, South Africa, in units responsible for macroeconomic forecasting, the MTEF and budgeting and public finance management reform •Has excellent experience with costing, budgeting and financial management arrangements for child protection, ECD and education, health and nutrition, and social protection interventions; •Regularly provides high level expert advice to governments and international organisations on issues related to budgets and public finance management.
