Cravatex was incorporated in 1951 by Ram Kumar Batra and is part of The Batra Group. Today Cravatex is owned and operated Ram Kumar Batra's two sons, Rajesh and Rajiv.
At first Cravatex owned the largest chain of dyers and dry cleaners in India and subsequently diversified into Garment Export, Textile Processing and Printing. The company was taken public on the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1979 and continues to be listed after more than three decades.
Today the company has evolved into a global Retail, Brand Licensing, Distribution and Sourcing company with a presence across the Indian Subcontinent, United Kingdom, Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

* Proline Fitness - the largest Fitness retail company in India
* Fila India - Exclusive licensing rights for the Fila brand in India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh
* Fila International - Exclusive licensee for Fila in the Middle East and North Africa.
* BB UK - BB UK also operates an exclusive Sub-License give by JD Sports PLC for the Fila brand in the UK and a Sublicense for Accessories for the whole of Europe from the brand owner as well as providing sourcing support to the whole Fila Ecosystem.
*Sporting Goods: Formed a partnership with Amer Sports (Finland) for exclusive distribution rights for the Wilson Brand.
