In order to draw illustrations, comic books and animations, the artists need to repeatedly draw existing (standard/realistic) models so they can gradually be able to understand the shape of different objects/creatures and recreate them. This requires a diverse and sufficient amount of standard models as resources, as well as some guidelines and directions on how the users can proceed and excel in drawings. As an individual artist (with low to medium level of skills), this is challenging to get self motivated and stay consistent in practicing. This is also confusing for the beginners to know where to begin, how to pursue their training and what to focus on. This challenging part in learning any topic has been studied and facilitated in the recent decade, by the idea of gamification.
Croqee (simplified from the original French name Croquis) is an online gamified application that enables users to draw a variety of anatomy and still-life models on digital devices such as tablets, digital drawing devices, laptops and mobiles, and get their drawings evaluated subsequently. We as the creator of the application, intend to provide several models in different complexity levels, as well as creating a community of the users where they can communicate, get motivated and hang out while learning.
