Croydon Active Voices

We are a collective of parent carers who live in Croydon who have children and young people (aged 0 to 25 years) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Our mission is to represent the unified voices of fellow parent carers within the Croydon community. Our goal is to foster a supportive environment that connects parents and carers across Croydon, providing a supportive platform for them to share their experiences and insights. We empower parents and carers to advocate effectively for their children and young people, while also establishing a network for communication among our community. We serve as a valuable resource that supports them in navigating various systems and processes. We actively collaborate with all stakeholders in the borough to ensure that the needs of all children, young people, and their families are recognised and addressed. This collaboration involves influencing and shaping policy and practice in partnership with local entities, working together to co-produce initiatives, consult, and adopt a solution-focused approach. We promote accountability through open and honest discussions at a strategic level, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for our children and young people based on the input from our members, while maintaining our authentic independent voices.
