Go Play DC (formerly CRYSP DC)

Go Play makes space to play. Through advocacy, community outreach and facility management, we leverage underused property to provide recreation facilities for local residents. ADVOCACY. We identify underused public and private parcels in DC, develop an appropriate program and concept design, evaluate feasibility, and make a business case for conversion. If you know of a property you think we should consider, please contact us. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. We reach out to stakeholders, residents and potential partners to determine needs and wants. We are especially focused on “bridging communities”—encouraging connections between residents of Capitol Hill residents and wards 7 and 8, making the benefits of sports and team participation available to as many residents as possible. FACILITY MANAGEMENT. When Events DC commenced the conversion of Lot 7 to create The Fields at RFK Campus, it chose to solicit a private organization to operate the facility. CRYSP DC marshaled talent and resources to respond to the solicitation and win the opportunity to manage the facility for Events DC. We assembled a skilled team of contractors to schedule, permit, program and monitor this fantastic new city asset. CRYSP DC is committed to making space to play for youth and adults on Capitol Hill and throughout the District of Columbia. We are exploring new opportunities to do that every day.
