Centre for East Asian Studies

The purpose of CSAW is to coordinate activities related to East Asia at the University of Gdańsk. The Center maintains contacts with educational and research institutions in East Asia, and also promotes East Asian countries in Poland. In terms of interest CSAW UG are East Asian countries such as: People's Republic of China, South Korea and North Korea, Japan, Mongolia, Taiwan - but also to a greater extent the countries of Southeast Asia (Burma, Brunei, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, East Timor, Vietnam) ,South Asia (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka) and North Asia (eastern areas of Russia).
