Welcome to the California Social Welfare Archives (CSWA) and the California Social Work Hall of Distinction (HoD) LinkedIn page.
The CSWA was established in 1979, and in 2002 adopted the HOD. Together their mission is to uplift the Social Work Profession by
1) digitize and archive significant historical and contemporary research, journals, interventions, programs, policies, and other documentation.
2) Identify historical and contemporary figures who have contributed to the social work profession, conduct interviews, and archive transcripts of oral histories of social work professionals who have impacted the social work profession and welfare policy.
3) Organize an annual gala where individuals are inducted, honored, recognized, and celebrated.
