CTS Lab

The STS Lab or laboratory of science, technology and society of FLACSO Ecuador (CTS in Spanish) is a space for co-creation of public policy and academic research. CTS LAB is committed to generating knowledge that is relevant for decision-making and for the formulation of public policies. We are dedicated to studying the role of science and technology in contemporary societies to track how they shape our lives and how they open different paths to the future in order to co-design policies that respond to needs located in the territory. Of strong interdisciplinary vocation, our proposal is nourished by the social studies of science and technology and public policy analysis. Born from this crossroad are the topics that interest us and that share a local orientation with an international projection. Topics: Social innovation; big data; artificial intelligence; cities laboratory; and science, technology and innovation policies.
