The Cyclopark Charity

We're a health and wellbeing charity operating a 49-acre venue in one of the top 10% areas of deprivation in the country. We provide a wide range of affordable activities to combat the significant health inequalities in the area, including over 100 places of FREE activities a week, alongside being a top-class cycling venue coaching all levels of rider, from Learn2Ride to GB representatives in various disciplines, and hosting National Series events and Championships. The venue belongs to Kent County Council. The charity has a multi-year agreement to operate the facility with, as a non-profit, any profit reinvested to support our charitable activities. Less than 10% of our income is from this operator agreement which is reducing in coming years. The charity self-generates the remaining 90%+ income each year. Therefore, as a relatively new senior management team and in consultation with key stakeholders including the NHS, county and borough councils, Active Partnership and British Cycling, we recently published our Future Direction around four Strategic Goals. This Future Direction is really taking effect with a record number of overall visits onsite - up 16% year on year - an ever-increasing digital presence - over 190,000 social media views and 50,000 website views in just the last 28 days - and record engagement with key user groups. We also offer valuable partnerships combining significant engagement and meaningful CSR/ESG opportunities.
