The DIII-D National Fusion Facility is a US Department of Energy user facility, open to all interested users. The tokamak housed at DIII-D is the largest operating tokamak in North America and is consistently operated and upgraded to address the most pressing fusion science questions of the day. The DIII-D research and operations teams bring together experts from around the world to identify and develop solutions that address key remaining fusion science and technology challenges. Building on the high flexibility and world-class measurement capabilities of the DIII-D tokamak, the DIII-D team provides essential support to both public programs and private industry to build a clean energy future based on fusion energy.
