Danalize

Danalize is a student-centered fintech platform helping students access college with confidence—through financial literacy, self-advocacy, and personalized support. Founded by first-generation Columbia University student and Laidlaw Research Scholar Terrah Garner, Danalize has reached over 500,000 students across 12+ countries and helped secure more than $100,000 in additional aid. Terrah’s ongoing research on financial literacy and college access through the Laidlaw scholars program guides Danalize’s strategy—and hopes to build a scalable model that reaches students in ways no one else has tried. Backed by Columbia’s selective Almaworks Accelerator (2% acceptance rate), Danalize blends lived experience, policy insight, and community voice to break down the systemic barriers students face. By combining real stories, practical tools, and one-on-one guidance, Danalize empowers students to navigate complex systems, advocate for themselves, and redefine what success looks like—on their terms.
