Dance and Movement Therapy: Going Home "What is this body that I no longer live in, could it be self-loathing? And what is this movement that calms me down and where does it come from?" We sometimes spend a lifetime living next to our sweetest, safest and most vibrant home: our body. Like a garment put askew, badly cut, crumpled or simply unpleasant to wear ... How to regain full possession of this body and (re)live in harmony with it and within it? Depression, heaviness, chronic fatigue, generalized unease ... But all this seems so normal, so natural. Could it be possible to have another experience and leave the pain all behind? Like a star hidden in a rock, Dance and Movement Therapy will make it possible to find one's own light by acting on the level of the body and mind. It will help trauma healing by revisiting the person's own story and will encourage the emergence of the true self. Dance and movement therapy will thus reopen doors in order to heal passed wounds allowing the person to live in tune with its own profound and legitimate life's aspirations. Agnès Ricou works as a Dance and Movement Therapist and uses different body-oriented techniques in order to heal the soul and the body. She offers workshops in France and Germany, as well as individual and group therapy.
