The Disaster Analytics for Soceity Lab (DASL) conducts research covering the broad field of probabilistic risk analysis (a.k.a. the mathematics of disasters), disaster risk reduction, post-disaster assessment, and recovery. Spanning the entire disaster cycle, we combine methods from spatial statistics, risk analysis, statistical learning and the social sciences in order to better understand the potential impacts of natural hazards on society and develop tools to promote resilient communities.
