Data Privacy Canvas

The Data Privacy Canvas (DPC) is a one page strategic framework for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and privacy practitioners to manage personal information across their organizations. It builds on top of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) developed by Alexander Osterwalder in 2008. The DPC helps DPOs identify the building blocks that enable them to develop and maintain the foundations of a vibrant Data Privacy Ecosystem. In one page, DPOs (and other executives) will see the big picture and manage internal and external infrastructure, partners, resources, expenses and activities to build a sustainable Culture of Privacy in their respective organizations. Ultimately, the DPC enables DPOs to think like CEOs.
