Working Group Europe - Insolvency and Restructuring Wing of the DAV (German Bar Association)

The Insolvency and Restructuring Wing of the DAV (German Bar Association) established the Working Group Europe in 2010. The advisory board is appointed by the executive committee of the Insolvency and Restructuring Wing of the DAV. A regular membership is not intended. The objective of the Working Group Europe is to establish a cross-border interchange of European insolvency and restructuring experts and to professionally support and advise on legislative projects at level of the European Union. The Working Group Europe focuses on all cross-border subjects within the scope of the EU Regulation concerning the rules of jurisdiction for opening insolvency proceedings in the European Union. It not only promotes interchange, research, expertise and networking, but also organizes professional seminars and congresses on various subjects regarding cross-border insolvency and restructuring measures on an EU level. Furthermore, the Working Group Europe acts as a patron to the European Insolvency & Restructuring Congress (EIRC), which is hosted in Brussels annually since 2012. The Working Group Europe is an important cooperating partner for international institutions and expert groups outside of German with regard to all topics revolving around international insolvency law.
