DECIRE-WATER Project

𝗗𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗥𝗘-𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 is a 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲 (HORIZON-CL6-2024-CIRCBIO-02) funded research and innovation action started in June 2025. In 36 months the project bridges the gap between nature-based systems and cutting-edge tech to secure water resilience. Centralised water systems are struggling to cope the effects of climate change, urbanisation, and increasing resource scarcity. The need for, 𝗰𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 has never been greater. DECIRE-WATER provides 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱/𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 to close water loops, ensure safe reuse, and align with EU regulations and SDGs.
