DeCO2 is a spin-off resulting from more than 15 years of research on biomass usage for generating energy and high-value products via advanced engineering, techno-economical analysis, digital twin development and mathematical modeling. The company is committed to designing thermochemical equipment for biomass processing and recovery, providing advisory services and specialized consultancy for biomass characterization and valorization, conducting research on new biomass products for valorization, and commercializing gasification, pyrolysis, and biomass processing equipment. DeCO2 has developed prototypes, fixed-bed and fluidized-bed gasification technologies, software, and simulators to utilize agro-industrial waste (i.e. biomass) for producing high-value-added products such as biochar, pellets, activated carbon, electrical energy, and thermal energy. This approach enables the development of circular economies and creates value in agribusiness.
