Energy Underground was founded by Kevin Doffing as he sought to advocate and lead in Houston's energy transition. Since our founding, the company has provided go-to-market strategy, executive coaching, and fractional business development for startups and companies leaning into the energy transition. As well as, commercialization training and go-to-market strategy development for companies just getting started.
Along the way our firm has contributed to the founding of the Renewable Energy Alliance, Houston's first renewable energy trade group, developed a wind technician training program with Houston Community College, launched the Veterans Energy Project to advocate for government investments into infrastructure, and support several startup accelerators including the Ion Smart & Resilient Cities Accelerator, the Rice Clean Energy Accelerator, and the WeWork Veterans in Residence powered by Bunker Labs.
